Neighborhood centers offer free services to help low- and moderate-income families living in Austin, including assistance with rent and utility payments.

  1. You are eligible for this service if:

  2. Call to make an appointment with a neighborhood center that is convenient for you. Be aware that neighborhood centers are closed from noon to 1 pm for a lunch break.

  3. On the day of your appointment, bring these items with you:

    • Photo ID
    • Proof of address, such as a government ID, utility bill, or mail with your address on it
    • Proof of income for all adults (18+) in the household for the last 30 days
    • Social Security numbers for everyone in the household, if available

  • Blue Santa applications (in the Fall)
