Oral Reprimands

An oral reprimand is a form of discipline. It is verbally delivered to an officer who is found to have violated APD Policy by his/her supervisor after review of an Internal Affairs investigation. An oral reprimand is documented in the form of a memo. This document lists details of the violation as well as the pertinent policies. Oral reprimands are authored by the Austin Police Department and made public by the Office of Police Oversight.
